Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings made through nordova.is for services provided or arranged by Nordova Travel ehf.. By placing a booking, you confirm that you have read and accepted the terms that apply to your selected service.
1. Bookings and Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed when the required information has been submitted, full payment has been successfully completed through the website, and a booking confirmation or voucher has been issued. Customers are responsible for checking that all booking details are correct, including the date, time, pickup and drop-off locations, passenger numbers and contact or flight details requested during booking.
2. Prices and Payment
Unless the booking page states otherwise, full payment is required at the time of booking through the online payment facility available on the website. The price and any inclusions or exclusions will be displayed before the customer confirms the purchase. A booking is not confirmed if payment is declined, incomplete or reversed.
3. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate booking, passenger, flight and pickup information.
- Be ready at the confirmed pickup location at the scheduled time.
- Ensure that all passengers arrive on time and comply with reasonable driver or guide instructions.
- Inform Nordova Travel in advance of relevant mobility needs, child-seat requirements, luggage requirements or other special requests. Such requests are subject to availability and confirmation.
- Ensure that children are appropriately supervised throughout the service.
4. Pickup, Delays and No-Show
Customers must arrive at the agreed pickup point on time. If a customer cannot be located, does not appear, or cannot be contacted using the details provided, the service may be treated as a no-show after a reasonable attempt to carry out the pickup. In that case, the customer may be responsible for the full booking amount and no refund may be due, subject always to applicable mandatory consumer rights and the specific booking terms. Customers should allow sufficient time for airport procedures, traffic, weather and other travel conditions.
5. Changes to Services
Any request to change a booking is subject to availability and confirmation by Nordova Travel. Time changes are free of charge when requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled service, subject to vehicle, driver and operational availability. Changes requested within 24 hours may not be possible. Changes to the route, duration, passenger count or service type may affect the price and require a revised confirmation.
6. Safety, Weather and Operational Conditions
Icelandic weather, road conditions, official safety advice, closures and other circumstances may affect travel plans. Nordova Travel may adjust, delay, reroute, suspend or cancel a service where reasonably necessary for passenger safety or operational reasons. Where Nordova Travel cancels a service and cannot offer a suitable alternative, the customer will be offered an appropriate refund for the affected service, subject to applicable law. Customers must follow safety instructions and comply with applicable laws.
7. Third-Party Services
Where a booking includes services supplied by another provider, the relevant provider’s terms may also apply. The booking page or confirmation should identify any material third-party service conditions. Nothing in these Terms removes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Liability
Nordova Travel will provide its services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or a customer’s mandatory statutory rights. To the extent permitted by law, customers are responsible for losses arising from inaccurate information, failure to attend on time, or failure to follow reasonable safety instructions.
9. Complaints and Applicable Law
If you have a concern about a service, raise it as soon as reasonably possible so that it can be reviewed. These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Iceland, without depriving consumers of any mandatory protections that apply under the law of their place of residence or other applicable law.
10. Package Travel
If a booking qualifies as a package travel arrangement or linked travel arrangement under applicable Icelandic or EEA law, the mandatory package-travel information, organiser responsibilities, financial protection and cancellation rights will apply in addition to these general Terms. Specific package-travel contract information must be provided before the customer is bound.
